Jeanette Gourd Thibault is the author of The Magic of Mrs. Claus. As the mother of two young boys, the book was inspired by them. It was her toddler who influenced the telling of the story of Mrs. Claus with his ferocious appetite for reading books and his enthusiasm for the holidays.

Born and raised in Goshen, Connecticut, Jeanette migrated to Rhode Island when she attended the University of Rhode Island, where she obtained her Bachelor’s degree in Nursing in 2008 and a Master’s degree in 2013. She works as a nurse practitioner and resides with her family in a quaint town in Rhode Island. When Jeanette isn’t writing, working, or parenting, she enjoys painting, bike riding, skiing, and engaging in house projects.
